Amnesty still possible despite Boko Haram’s rejection-Sultan
By Olalekan Adetayo
The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji
Sa’ad Abubakar III, on Monday said despite the reported rejection of
amnesty by members of the violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram, there was
nothing impossible.
Abubakar spoke with State House correspondents shortly after leading
other members of the 2012 Federal Government Hajj delegation to present
their report to President Goodluck Jonathan.
He was asked for his reaction after the sect had rejected the amnesty, a gesture which he clamoured for.
Abubakar who initially said he had no comment later simply said
“There is nothing impossible in this world” when journalists pressed
further.
His aides later whisked him away
