PROANDLOG Begins Operations in Port Harcourt

…Offers services in terrorism, hostage taking control

As part of efforts to control life threatening activities in the country, a new security outfit, Protection and Logistics Services Limited, (PROANDLOG) set up to provide services on anti-terrorism, kidnapping and hostage taking among others is now in operations in Port Harcourt, South-South of Nigeria.

The outfit parades highly trained personnel who had gone through rigorous selection and vetting processes for static guard role on a 12-24 hour rotation duty.

According to a top executive of the company, Navy Cmdr Samuel Abiodun Fapounda (rtd) PROANDLOG services maintains a data bank of highly skilled specialists in maritime law enforcement, anti terrorism and other fields of maritime security drawn from specialized branches of the armed forces.

 

“These personnel have capabilities to perform the functions of MSLO, PFSO and WATCHKEEPERS on clients rigs, platform, vessel and other offshore facilities,” the security chief noted.

 

Fapounda also stated that as part of its special services, the company was capable of providing escort services for clients in locations where kidnappings and hostage takings were prevalent. “We also provide kidnap and hostage negotiation and rescue for our clients,” he added.

 

In line with the scope of the company’s operations, Cmdr Fapounda said the company was also involved in “Protocol services/Meet and greet to clients.”

 

“As part of our meet and greet services, we provide passenger vehicles and escort party for clients. A client, newly arriving Nigeria is given a comprehensive country briefing at the airport. The escort duties are conducted by highly trained personnel and drivers with background in defensive, evasive and maneuvering techniques,” he explained.

 

PROANDLOG services include installation and maintenance of security equipment for tracking vehicles. While it also offers fleet management and control room services, the company provides Alarm Panic Buttons, Guard Monitoring, Surveillance Devices, Guard Tour Monitoring Devices and Scanning Machines/Metal Detectors as Well as Front Desk/ Reception Services.

 

On the provision of CCTV Camera, Fapounda said, “We make it possible for you to receive alert messages on your phone when intrusion occurs in your facility. You can also monitor your facility on your laptop from a remote area location while out of town.”
